Training and Education
As we work with businesses, academic institutions, professional and scientific societies, faith groups, and nonprofits, we take a comprehensive approach to creating interventions that provoke lasting cultural change. Because dynamics vary a great deal by industry and organization, we tailor our workshops closely to the context in which we are working. Our major areas of focus are below.
Implicit Bias in the Workplace
This workshop examines common forms of implicit bias and how they can impact organizations. All implicit bias workshops examine some of the most common forms of bias, including those that tend to impact recruiting and hiring processes and employee feedback practices. Because the circumstances of each organization, field, and industry are unique, we further tailor trainings to be relevant to each particular context.
Equity & Inclusion
In our equity and inclusion workshops, we work with organizations around differences in race, ethnicity, national origin, gender and gender expression, class, and sexual orientation, focusing on transforming an organization's culture from one that functions in spite of the differences that exist between people to one that thrives because of them.
Effective Communication Across Difference
When working to create more inclusive organizations, creating cultures of effective, honest, and open communication is key. This series of workshops offers participants tools for communicating effectively across difference, developing common vocabulary, and cooperative approaches to problem-solving.
Preventing Sexual Harassment
Moving beyond covering the basics of legal compliance, we address the cultural beliefs that can contribute to problematic behavior within organizations. In addition, we work to ensure that all levels of management are informed about the issue and understand clearly when and how to take action.
